To configure an Aastra 6XXX Series Phone, use the following generic walkthrough.
Your device may vary slightly, depending on model and firmware version.
1. Get the IP Address
- Press the Spanner key
- Press the scroll down button to get to Phone Status and then press [
] to confirm selection
- Select IP&MAC Addresses and press [
]
- The IP Address will appear on the screen. Make note of it for step 2.
2. Access the Web Management page
- Open your web browser and go to the IP you just found: https://[DeviceIP]
- If presented with a browser security warning. Confirm that you want to continue.
- Enter the user and password for the phone.
- Username: admin
- Password: xxxxx [Default password is often 22222]
3. Fill in the values as shown below.
- On the left menu select Line 1 under Advanced Settings
Screen Name: [your voiSip phone number, or PBX extension number]
Phone Number: [same phone or extension number]
Caller ID: [same phone or extension number]
Authentication Name: [same phone or extension number]
Password: xxxxxxxxxxx (enter your phone number's SIP password, or PBX extension secret)
Proxy Server: [enter any CLONE LINE server, or your PBX address]
Proxy Port: 5060 [5060 is most commonly used port]
Backup Proxy Port: 0
Outbound Proxy Port: 0
Registrar Server: [enter any CLONE LINE server, or your PBX address]
Registrar Port: 5060 [5060 is most commonly used port]
Backup Registrar Port: 0
- Click Save Settings.
4. Restart the Phone.
- Click on Reset under Operations on the left menu.
- Now click on Restart
- Phone will restart automatically
Once rebooting has completed, try some inbound and outbound test calls.
