  • View, download, or delete messages using the Online Control Panel
  • Email Notification w/ .wav Audio Attachments

Clone Lines are a key CLONE LINE feature, and one that we believe you will really appreciate.

All CLONE LINE plans include at least 2 Clone Lines. Larger plans come with up to 96 lines.

Think of them as simply a pool of Rollover Lines, but all with the same phone number.

This simple difference results in many advantages over the older type of Rollover Lines.

  • You always call out on the same number, whether you're on line 1, line 2, or line 200.
  • At just $2/mo each, Clone Lines are much more affordable than Rollover Lines/Numbers.
  • More lines can be added quickly and easily, with no need to add more numbers or pull wiring.
  • Calls don't tie up valuable line buttons on every phone, allowing a 2 line phone to automatically access your entire pool of lines.

  • Note that Clone Lines are NOT Phone Numbers, and Phone Numbers are NOT Lines.

CLONE LINE plans include 1 primary number, and 2 or more lines. You can easily, and independently, add more numbers, and/or more lines.

Older services refer to extra numbers as DID numbers, but we call them Cloud Numbers. They work basically the same, but Cloud Numbers are a bit more flexible.

Cloud Numbers (DIDs) can be used for directing callers to different menus or extensions, for a virtual presence in other area codes, or simply for keeping old rollover numbers.

For pricing details on Cloud Numbers, visit the Addons page, under the Equipment Menu.

Using the Online Control Panel, you can set your inbound calls to ring to an outside number, either at the same time as, or in sequence with, your CLONE LINE phones.

This allows you to give out one number, that reaches you at your home or office, and on your mobile phone, so people don't have to try multiple numbers to reach you.

In a home environment, the advantage of this over using a mobile number only, is that calls can ring to phones all over your house. No more dashing for your cell phone.

In a business environment, this lets clients reach you with a single number. Many clients won't bother calling a second number, so you'll get more leads, sales, etc.

For detailed instructions, including how to find your SMS address, visit our Knowledgebase articles, under the Support Menu.

This feature is very easy to use. Simply "enable" it in the Online Control Panel, and it will begin blocking 10's of thousands of telemarketers.

The list is updated regularly by an outside service, so it gets better and better at blocking.

If a telemarketer slips though, just dial a star code to instantly block that last caller.

CLONE LINE also works with 3rd party telemarketer services, like Nomorobo (see our Knowledgebase under Support Menu).

For detailed instructions, including how to setup Nomorobo on your CLONE LINE number, visit our Knowledgebase articles, under the Support Menu.

The Online Control Panel gives you 24/7 access to Features, Settings, and Call History.

  • 911 Settings - Easily update the address that 911 Operator sees if you dial 911
  • Call History - View, Sort, Search and Download
  • Custom Call Routes - Send specific callers to voicemail, busy signal, disconnected message, or a different phone number

  • Telemarketer Blocking - Enable it, and that's it. You can also submit new numbers to the block list.
  • Voicemail Settings - Change number of rings, email delivery address, SMS alert address, view/download messages
  • Call Forwarding - Easily forward calls during holidays, or emergency situations. Simply disable when done.

  • For detailed instructions on all Control Panel Features, visit our Knowledgebase articles, under the Support Menu.

CLONE LINE includes all the advanced features that other service charge extra for.

  • Caller ID
  • Call Waiting w/ Caller ID
  • Call Forwarding
  • Do Not Disburb
  • Block Outbound Caller ID (one call, or until canceled)
  • Call Return (*69 dials last caller for easy callback)
  • 3 Way Call Bridge (Conference Call) - Hit flash key to dial out on 2nd line, hit flash again to connect both lines

  • For detailed instructions, isit our Knowledgebase articles, under the Support Menu.

One of the best reasons to have a "regular" phone, is for family or employees to have 911 service during an emergency.

This is especially useful for families, where kids may not have cell phones, or for a home with several rooms.

Just update your current address using the Online Control Panel, so 911 operators can easily direct emergency services to your location.

If you move, be sure to update your e911 address, as this is not automatic. For details, visit our Knowledgebase articles, under the Support Menu.

CLONE LINE includes several handy star (*) codes.

Many of these can also be set, changed or canceled from the Online Control Panel.

  • 123 - Access your Voicemail Mailbox
  • *20 - Call Forwarding, dial *20 + 10 digit destination number
  • *21 - Disable Call Forwarding

  • *30 - Block Outbound Caller ID on all calls, until canceled (*31)
  • *31 - Unblock Outbound Caller ID
  • *67 - Block Outbound Caller ID, next call only
  • *68 - Unblock Outbound Caller ID, next call only
  • *69 - Call Return, calls last inbound number

    Phone Adapter Features

Phone adapters let you use standard telephones, but with a few New Tricks.

Think of a Phone Adapter as a "dial tone box". It provides a jack with dial tone, like you'd normally get from your wall jack(s).

Phone Adapters allow you to use any standard analog telephone, or phone system, with your CLONE LINE service.

You can even connect your home's wall jacks, for even more convenience.

Adapters from CLONE LINE are preconfigured with your number. Just connect it to your router, wait 3 minutes, and you've got dial tone.

Adapters are available from CLONE LINE in 1 or 2 line models. Third party sources, like Amazon and Newegg, also sell models up to 48 lines.

    Click +/- for details...

Connect the adapter to your router, wait 2 or 3 minutes, and you've got dial tone.

Use the 2 line adapter to take advantage of your FREE Clone Line, a 2nd line that allows for a separate, simultaneous call (in or out).

The 2 line adapter can be used with a 2 line phone, 2 separate hones, or to connect your home's phone jacks. (See Important Notes before doing this!)

Larger adapters, from 4 to 48 lines, are also available from 3rd party sources, like Amazon and Newegg. Contact us if you need a large adapter.

For detailed instructions on connecting home phone jacks, contact us, or visit our Knowledgebase articles, under the Support Menu.

It is quite easy to use CLONE LINE to activate ALL of your home phone wall jacks.

We recommend using a 2 line adapter, with line 1 for a nearby phone, and line 2 to activate wall jacks.

Here are the basic steps. Pay close attention to disconnecting other services, or you risk damage to your adapter.

    1. Find the outside service box that connects landline to your home. Usually on side of house, behind garage, etc. Open it and disconnect lines.
    2. Verify that all lines and jacks are dead, with no dialtone, no hiss, no static, no hum, etc. Any voltage on the lines can/will damage your adapter, so be sure.
    3. Connect a standard phone cable from a line jack on your adapter, to any phone jack in your home. That will connect ALL the jacks, since they are in series.
    4. You can even connect 2 lines to all your jacks, using a 2 line joiner/splitter. Then use joiner/splitters in other rooms to access line 2.

For detailed instructions on connecting home phone jacks, contact us, or visit our Knowledgebase articles, under the Support Menu.

The LEDs on your adapter provide useful status info.

  • Power Status
  • Internet Connection/Activity
  • Line Status - Ready, Ringing, Call in Progress, Voicemail Waiting

  • Different adapter models may vary slightly in appearance, but other than number of lines, they generally all have these same features.

When you have new voicemail waiting, you'll notice a Stutter Tone when you pick up to dial out.

This helps ensure that you don't leave voicemail waiting.

You also can be notified by several other methods...

  • LED flashing on your phone (if your phone supports MWI (Message Waiting Indicator)
  • LED flashing on our adapter's line status light
  • Email notifications
  • SMS TXT alerts

  • For more details, refer to your phone manual, as well as our Knowledgebase articles on Voicemail, under the Support Menu.

Unlike an old landline, CLONE LINE numbers are not tied to a particular address, or even a particular geographic area.

If you move down the street, or across the country, just take your adapter, and connect it to internet at new location.

You can even take the adapter with you when you travel. But you might want to consider other options for that scenario, such as a mobile app, or Follow Me feature.

If you move, be sure to update your e911 address, as this is not automatic. For details, visit our Knowledgebase articles, under the Support Menu.

    Cordless Phone Features

All CLONE LINE voice plans include these great features.

Cordless VoIP Phone Systems support up to 8 handsets, and allow home or businesses to make calls, transfers and intercoms.

These systems do not require a Phone Adapter, because they have CLONE LINE (SIP) technology built into the cordless Base Station.

The starter kits come with a the Base Station, which is about the size of a small wifi router, or a paperback book.

The handsets come with charging cradles, which need only a power outlet, and can sit on a desktop, or be wall mounted.

Using the DECT 6.0 cordless standard, the phone deliver excellent call quality, range up to 50 meters (150 feet) indoors, and up to 100 meters (300 feet) outdoors.

Choose either a 4 line or 8 line model. Both support up to 8 cordless handsets. You can start with a CLONE LINE 2-line plan, and have plenty of room to grow.

Handsets come in a few different models, with the biggest difference being how long the battery lasts.

    Click +/- for details...

Depending on model, you can register up to 8 different CLONE LINE accounts (phone numbers).

This is great for situations like having a home number, plus a business number... or multiple businesses sharing an office and phone system.

You can have accounts ring different groupings of handsets, such as home number ringing all handsets, while business number rings only office and kitchen.

You can also assign different ring tones to different accounts, or different handsets.

The latest cordless systems support 4 or 8 simultaneous calls, allowing you to take advantage of up to 8 clone lines.

That could be a single plan with 8 clone lines, or 2 plans with 4 clone lines, or any other similar combination.

Of course, most of our clients don't need that many lines, but it is good to have room to grow.

Many older cordless systems only supported 1, 2, or maybe 3 simultaneous calls.

Pretty simple. Support for up to 8 handsets is a big advantage over other systems, that may only allow 6 or fewer handsets.

You can mix or match handsets from the same brand, and there are at least 2 handset choices available, mainly with different battery life.

All of the phones we sell use the latest DECT 6.0 cordless standard, for indoor range up to 50 meters (150 feet), and outdoor range up to 100 meters (300 feet).

There are also cordless repeaters available, to double or triple the range.

These cordless phones work great in large homes or offices, in fairly large warehouses, or even on car dealership lots.

Charging cradels are wall mountable, plus the phones have a belt clip, and headset jack.

You'll be free to roam away from your desk, to check inventory, or just to grab a snack.

Handsets have a nice, bright-red LED, that flashes to indicate voicemail waiting. It is clearly visible from across a room.

It can also indicate missed calls, or that can be easily disabled to show messages only.

The light is also a message button, that dials into your mailbox.

Transfers are easy, using the keypad menu, that shows your customized handset names.

Intercom is also easy, using the same keypad menu. Just select Intercom, and which handset you want to reach.

For instructions on using this feature, refer to the product manual that ships with the phones.

    PBX Features

For the ultimate feature set, add a CLONE LINE PBX system.

Choose from a local network system, or our cloud/hosted system.

Or use a 3rd party IP PBX system... Asterisk, FreePBX, Cisco, Grandstream, etc.

Digital or Cloud PBX Phone Systems provide the ultimate in features for a Business, Office Building, or even a high end Residence.

CLONE LINE PBX systems include hundreds of features, and thousands of granular settings, so you can tweak the system to your exact needs.

Inbound calls can ring to a single Extension, or a Ring Group of Extensions, or an IVR Automated Attendent Menu, or even Time/Date Conditions.

You can create as many extensions and mailboxes as you need, then use IP Phones from anywhere in the world. Unify up to 100 phones on a single PBX.

Create your own Extensions for local phones, remote phones, mobile phones, or even blind mailboxes.

There's no monthly fee for your Extensions, so add as many as you want.

Your phones can be anywhere in the world. They just need reliable internet.

All phones are "unified" on the same system, so they can easily Transfer and Intercom to each other.

You can use any of several types of phones and extensions...

  • Desktop IP Phones
  • Cordless IP Phones
  • Softphone Apps for Windows, Mac, Adroid, iPhone or Linux
  • Virtual Extensions that forward to any outside number, such as your Mobile Phone
  • This is a VERY popular and powerful feature, which lets your calls find you, without requiring callers to dial multiple numbers.

Simply enable the feature and enter your Mobile Number in the Follow Me List, and your calls will find you.

Choose from having multiple numbers all ring at once, or in sequence.

You can even change your "destination if no answer", from Voicemail (default), to someplace else, like another Extension, Menu, etc.

Create a Time Group, with any times or dates you want to use to change Call Flow.

Then Create a Time Condition, which is basically a fork in the road, sending callers to a default, or alternate, destination.

Now your callers can hear special Holiday messages, before going to your regular Menu, Ring Group, or Mailbox.

You can even create a Time Condition for Virtual (Mobile) Extensions, so calls are not delivered in the middle of the night.

This feature has endless possibilities for changing Call Flow based on Time/Date.

This is one of the most sought out features, for users who want to project a professional image, and handle calls more efficiently.

Of course, if you prefer not to have a Menu, you're free to send callers directly to a single Extension or Extension Ring Group.

Create your own menu(s) anyway you like, simple, complex, even in multiple languages.

Menus can play your custom greeting, and allow callers to choose from multiple options, or direct dial an extension.

Key presses can direct callers to any location in the system, such as another Menu, Extension, Ring Group, Time Condition, Announcement, Mailbox, etc.

Ring Groups let you create a team of extensions, such as a Sale Group, or Receptionist Group.

Queues are similar, but let callers wait for next available agent, such as a busy Appointment Queue or Support Queue.

System can inform caller of average wait time, and their position in the queue, or not.

Callers can hear welcome messages as they enter a Ring Group or Queue, such as "hold for next appointment agent".

Your agents can also hear a message as they answer a call, informing them of which Ring Group or Queue the caller was in.

Customize the wait time to fit your needs, and set destination for unanswered calls to any place you like, even a broader group of extensions, or a cell phone.

Create whatever Ring Groups and Queues you want. Change them at any time.

Our systems include over a dozen royalty free song, mostly of the smooth jazz or modern atmospheric type.

You can also upload your own MP3 music files, or connect to certain types of online music streaming channels.

Create different music categories, such as Holidays. Or set upbeat music for Sales Queues, and relaxing music for Support Queues.

Play a single song, or let the system play randomly.

Unlimited "Inside" participants. These are agents who are using an extension on your phone system.

Allow as many "Outside" participants as you have clone lines. Extra clone lines are just $2/mo each, if you need to host bigger conferences.

Create different Conference Rooms for different users or teams, such as each sales agent having their own virtual room.

Rooms are password (PIN) protected, and can be a hidden menu item, or require users to be transferred in.

Conference can have an admin, who can start, manage, and conclude the conference.

Participants can be allowed full two-way audio, or they can be muted and allowed to listen only.

With over 1 Million users, the PBX software (Asterisk/FreePBX) is constantly being improved, both by internal and outside developers.

For example, Flash Operator 2 (aka FOP2) lets you monitor extensions, mailboxes, live calls, etc, and costs just $40 to buy.

We've also seen everything from Advanced Reports, to a Hotel module that lets housekeepers dial a feature code when a room is ready.
